Chicken Tikka Kebabs with Natural Yoghurt & Pickled Onion
Spice up your next barbecue or dinner spread with these tender, yoghurt-marinated chicken tikka kebabs. Paired with zingy pickled onions and fresh salad, they’re full of flavour and easy to prep ahead!
Ingredients:
For the Chicken Marinade:
500g chicken thigh fillets, cut into chunks
1 cup Bekaa Dairy Natural Yoghurt
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp chili powder (adjust to taste)
Salt, to taste
For the Pickled Onion:
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
To Serve:
Warm flatbread or naan
Fresh coriander
Lime wedges
Bekaa Dairy Natural Yoghurt for dipping
Side salad (tomatoes, cucumber, coriander, lemon juice)
Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken:
In a bowl, mix all marinade ingredients together.
Add chicken, coat well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (preferably overnight).
Pickle the Onion:
In a small jar or bowl, mix vinegar, sugar, and salt.
Add sliced red onion and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
Cook the Kebabs:
Thread chicken onto skewers.
Grill, BBQ, or cook under a hot oven grill for 10–15 minutes, turning halfway, until charred and cooked through.
Assemble & Serve:
Serve skewers on a platter with pickled onion, salad, fresh coriander, warm flatbread, lime wedges, and Bekaa Dairy Natural Yoghurt for dipping.
