Chicken Tikka Kebabs with Natural Yoghurt & Pickled Onion

Spice up your next barbecue or dinner spread with these tender, yoghurt-marinated chicken tikka kebabs. Paired with zingy pickled onions and fresh salad, they’re full of flavour and easy to prep ahead!

Ingredients:

For the Chicken Marinade:

  • 500g chicken thigh fillets, cut into chunks

  • 1 cup Bekaa Dairy Natural Yoghurt

  • 1 tbsp ginger paste

  • 1 tbsp garlic paste

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp ground coriander

  • 1 tsp turmeric

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • 1/2 tsp chili powder (adjust to taste)

  • Salt, to taste

For the Pickled Onion:

  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1/4 cup white vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

To Serve:

  • Warm flatbread or naan

  • Fresh coriander

  • Lime wedges

  • Bekaa Dairy Natural Yoghurt for dipping

  • Side salad (tomatoes, cucumber, coriander, lemon juice)

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken:

    • In a bowl, mix all marinade ingredients together.

    • Add chicken, coat well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (preferably overnight).

  2. Pickle the Onion:

    • In a small jar or bowl, mix vinegar, sugar, and salt.

    • Add sliced red onion and let sit for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Cook the Kebabs:

    • Thread chicken onto skewers.

    • Grill, BBQ, or cook under a hot oven grill for 10–15 minutes, turning halfway, until charred and cooked through.

  4. Assemble & Serve:

    • Serve skewers on a platter with pickled onion, salad, fresh coriander, warm flatbread, lime wedges, and Bekaa Dairy Natural Yoghurt for dipping.
