Frozen Cherry Yoghurt Slice

This refreshing frozen yoghurt slice is swirled with juicy cherries and creamy Bekaa Dairy Natural Yoghurt, making it the perfect make-ahead summer dessert. Sweet, tangy, and irresistibly light.

Prep Time: 15 mins
Freeze Time: 4–6 hours or overnight
Serves: 8–10

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Bekaa Dairy Natural Yoghurt

  • ½ cup thickened cream

  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1½ cups pitted fresh or frozen cherries, halved

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional, depending on cherry sweetness)

Method

  1. Prepare the Cherries:
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine cherries, lemon juice, and sugar (if using). Simmer for 5–8 minutes until cherries begin to soften and release their juices. Cool completely.

  2. Mix the Yoghurt Base:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together Bekaa Dairy Natural Yoghurt, cream, honey, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. Layer and Swirl:
Line a loaf pan or slice tray with baking paper. Pour in half of the yoghurt mixture. Spoon half the cherry mixture over it and gently swirl with a knife. Repeat with the remaining yoghurt and cherries, swirling again to create a marbled effect.

  4. Freeze:
Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm.

  5. Slice and Serve:
Remove from freezer 5–10 minutes before serving. Serve with fresh cherrries. Slice and enjoy!

Tip:

Substitute cherries for berries or stone fruit based on the season. You can also add crushed biscuits to the base for a cheesecake-style twist.
